San Siro (Gr.2) : Straight dans un canter

GRAN PREMIO DEL JOCKEY - CLUB (GR.2). Remarqué dernièrement, par sa très belle réplique au champion Rebel's Romance (Dubawi) dans le Preis Von Europa (Gr.1) à Köln, Straight (Zarak) confirme en remportant, de toute une classe, le Gran Premio Del Jockey - Club (Gr.2). Patiemment monté par Lukas Delozier, Straight s'annonce entrée de ligne droite et prend l'avantage à 200 m du but. Bien que versant fortement à gauche puis à droite, il se détache pour s'imposer dans un canter. Bon finisseur, l'italien Flag's Up (War Command) arrache la seconde place à son compatriote Caos Calmo (Affaire Solitaire). Monté par Hugo Boutin, Best of Lips (The Gurkha) doit se contenter de la quatrième place.

Straight offre la plus belle victoire de sa carrière à Marian Falk Weissmeier, qui entraîne sur l'hippodrome de Krefeld. Il fait briller la casaque de son éleveur le Gestüt Karlshof. Issu de l'étalon des Aga Khan Studs Zarak (Dubawi), Straight est un petit-fils de la bonne Sortilège (Tiger Hill), lauréate du Premio Lydia Tesio (Gr.1, à l'époque) et 3e de La Coupe (Gr.3).
