Fontainebleau : Piotr frappe fort d'entrée

Dans ce maiden pour mâles sur 1.800 m, Piotr a laissé une impression très nette pour ses débuts en compétition en dominant avec autorité un lot pourtant expérimenté. Représentant de l’entraînement d’André Fabre pour la casaque Godolphin sous la monte de Malone Favriaux, il patiente en quatrième position, bien à l’abri, avant d’être lancé à 500 mètres du poteau. Il prend rapidement l’avantage à mi-ligne droite et se détache avec assurance pour s’imposer nettement. Derrière lui, Deux Ponts, animateur courageux, conserve le premier accessit après avoir longtemps fait illusion, tandis que Must Bay, attentiste, termine bien pour compléter le podium. Par Night of Thunder et premier produit de sa mère Pappina, Piotr coche déjà les cases du poulain à suivre.
