Un poulain de José Delmotte (Haspel) vendu 320 000 Guineas à Tattersalls
Buy, sell, then buy again to sell again... here are the letmotivs of a commercial studfarm like Haspel. Thanks to Nicolas de Watrigant and following Benoit Jeffroy's advices, José Delmotte buys Develyn at Tattersalls in July 2010 ain foal to Dutch Art for 8,500 gns only. Less than a year after, a gorgeous bay colt was born. He was sold for €110,000 as a yearling last August in Deauville on Arqana's ring. Georges Mullins signed the docket. . The 2yo is a grandson to Dublino, winner of the Del Mar Oaks (Gr. 1) in 2002 for Laura de Seroux, wife of the bloodstock agent Emmanuel de Seroux, Narvick International.
The colt went through the ring last summer as a yearling in Deauville
Dutch Art, who stands at Cheveley Park Stud since 2008, is sire of multiple stakes winners just like Caspar Netscher (2,000 german Guineas), Producer (Gr. 3), Arabian Falcon (Listed), and More Than Sotka (Prix des Jouvenceaux et des Jouvencelles, Listed). His first foals are only 4yos in 2013. Thanks to his great results as a sire, his fee went from £12 000 to £18,000 this season, while he was standing for £ 5,000 in 2011. Unbeaten juvenile, he won the Prix Morny under Christophe Soumillon (who replaced Alan Munro at the last minute) before the Middle Park Stakes six weeks later.
