Palace Episode sort son 1e gagnant de 2 ans
Despite all his theorical assets, Palace Episode was completely forgotten by the breeders during his first breeding season. Indeed, he only has 6 foals registered with France Galop. He still manages to get a winner despite a tiny 2yo crop. His first two runners were placed, and, on Sunday 23th June, Palace Episode won at Aix-Les-Bains thanks to the filly Ponthieu.
Trained by Mathieu Palussière for the irish man Con Marnane who bought her €4,500 at Deauville, the filly is from a great Wildenstein family, Paix Blanche's. Tough competitor, it was Ponthieu's 7th race since her debuts in April !
By the fancied Machiavallian, nephew to the american Tejano Run, Palace Episode was a precocious type and won the Gr.1 Racing Post Trophy at 2 defeating Dylan Thomas and Septimus. He was also successful in a Listed event beating the champion Araafa. Palace Episode stands at Haras du Logis Saint-Germain.
