Grand favori des Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, en présence de la Reine d'Angleterre en personne sur son propre hippodrome d'Ascot, le champion de 5 ans Palace Pier (double gagnant du Jacques Le Marois) a été devancé par le jeune Baeed, vainqueur du Moulin de Longchamp, monté par Jim Crowley. Lady Bawthorpe conclut 3e devant le tenant du titre The Revenant, entrainé en France par Francis-Henri Graffard. L'élève de Shadwell, fils de Sea The Stars, reste donc invaincu pour la 6e tentative d'une carrière entamée fort tardivement, au mois de juin 2021 dans un petit maiden à Leicester. Il est né de la souche de Nashwan. Sa 2e mère Lahudood a gagné la Breeders'Cup Filly & Mare Turf (Gr.1).
