Doha (QA) : l'Irish Thoroughbred Cup pour Pao Alto
Temps fort de la réunion de Doha, l'Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cup, Gr.2 local, revient au français Pao Alto (Intello) après une belle passe d'armes à 200m du poteau avec son ex-compatriote, Pretreville (Acclamation). Toujours vu dans le dos de l'animateur, Pretreville enclenche le premier, mais lui emboîtant le pas, Pao Alto se porte à sa hauteur au poteau des 200 derniers mètres et parvient à prendre le dessus sur son rival et le devancer d'une bonne longueur. Pao Alto restait sur une victoire, acquise voici1 mois à Cagnes-sur-Mer. Pouvant prétendre au Prix Saônois (disputé le 19 février), Christophe Ferland a fait le bon choix de faire voyager son représentant, celui-ci empochant pas loin de 100.000 € contre 26.000 € proposés au lauréat de la Listed Prix Saônois.
