Ascot (AUS) : Amelia's Jewel en digne fille de Siyouni
La championne australienne Amelia's Jewel (Siyouni) a ajouté une 7e victoire à son palmarès en s'imposant pour sa rentrée dans la PKF - Roma Cup (Gr.3), elle qui a connu la défaite une seule fois en 8 tentatives. La protégée de Simon Miller n'avait pas été revue depuis son succès sur le même hippodrome dans les Northerly Stakes (Gr.1), le 3 décembre. Attentiste à mi-peloton, elle a trouvé le passage en dehors à l'entrée de la ligne droite et s'est propulsée en tête à 50 m du but au prix d'une superbe accélération, s'imposant d'une longueur devant son aîné Red Can Man (Gingerbread Man). Issue de l'étalon des Aga Khan Studs Siyouni (Pivotal), Amelia's Jewel est une fille de Bumbasina (Canford Cliffs), qui a notamment conclu 2e des Ruby Stakes (L.) et 3e des Navigation Stakes (L.) en Irlande.
