Quatre mois après sa dernière sortie victorieuse dans une Classe 2 à La Teste, Sea Of Ash (Wootton Bassett) a signé un 2e succès consécutif pour sa rentrée dans le Prix Jean Cruse (Classe 2). Après avoir attendu à mi-peloton côté corde, la représentante d'Alberto Frassetto a fourni un bel effort final pour s'imposer d'1/2 longueur devant Maroon Six (Johnny Barnes). Sea Of Ash a été élevée par Johayro Investments Ltd. Présentée par J.K. Thoroughbreds à la vente de sélection Arqana, elle avait été vendue 55.000 € à Marco Bozzi. Sea Of Ash est une fille de l'étalon de Coolmore Wootton Bassett (Iffraaj) et de Sea Of Leaves (Stormy Atlantic), qui a conclu 3 fois 4e de Listed en Angleterre.
