Lauréat de maiden hurdle pour sa rentrée début novembre, le protégé de Gordon Elliott Farren Glory (Fame and Glory) monte de catégorie avec succès dans les Royal Bond Novice Hurdle (Gr.1). Monté par Jack Kennedy, il termine le plus vite pour dominer, avec autorité, son compagnon de box King of Kingsfield (Vadamos). An Tobar (Gentlewawe) se classe troisième devant l’ancien pensionnaire de Jean-Claude Rouget Bialystok (Zoffany), qui termine en trombe, mais trop tard. Même s' il est irlandais de naissance, Farren Glory n’en a pas moins des origines françaises, sa mère Toledana (Protektor) est une élève de Guy Cherel, qui avait déjà produit Etre Français (Anzillero), un troisième du Prix Finot (L).
